Manager – Tech & Media

About the role

Are you excited about working with fast growing and innovative companies? Buzzacott’s technology & media team is looking for a relationship manager to provide business services and advice to a portfolio of clients in the fastest growing sector in the UK.

The technology & media team work with innovative scale-ups that require specialist services and support at every stage of their growth journey from start-up to exit. The team provide a full range of services including: bookkeeping, payroll, tax advice, co sec, audit and obtaining investment. There is a growing demand in this area, particularly for a ‘one-stop-shop service’ that can support our clients in all their financial needs.

The relationship manager will play an integral role in supporting the client partner to provide pro-active client service and ensure the joined-up delivery of all Buzzacott’s services to their clients. They will have experience in working with cloud-based accounting software. They will be experienced in managing trainees and working in teams. Above all, they will be excited about building client relationships by understanding what their clients do, and in supporting the partner to help win new clients and continue to grow the team.

Our requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Essential

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with strong exam pass record
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
  • Able to, prepare statutory accounts and full completion, have a business services background
  • Strong accounting bias
  • A combination of practice and industry background (preferably within IT or media)
  • Experience of providing back end/back office support to clients
  • Intermediate MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • 3 A Levels, or equivalent at grade A-C

Desirable

  • 2.2 degree, or equivalent
  • Qualified ACCA with 1st time passes
  • International experience
  • Has been in charge of a team of 2+
  • Sage; Caseware
  • Paperless audit systems (Proaudit)
  • Presentation skills
