We help fashion retailers deliver awesome online shopping experiences. Beautiful, unique and personalised. Differently crafted for each and every one of their millions of online shoppers. To suit different shoppers’ profiles, preferences and tastes. Because no person is the same, right?

Since our launch in 2011, millions of shoppers and many of the UK’s leading retailers (e.g. John Lewis, Arcadia, Shop Direct and M&S) use our technology to help customers quickly and confidently find the best products for them.

By enabling retailers to personalise every touchpoint of their customers’ journeys, we transform performance, driving up revenues (increasing incremental revenue), significantly decreasing returns, and providing valuable insights to improve operational efficiencies.

We combine unique data sets and machine learning to give genuinely personalised recommendations at the per customer level.

Our tech stack
The majority of our work takes place on a set of rails apps (currently all on rails 4.2 & ruby 2.2), with data stored in Elasticsearch, MySQL and MongoDB and hosted on AWS, but we are open to expanding our toolchain when needed.

Business Development Director

THE ROLE

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly driven Business Development Director. Our product is now award- winning and the best in class. You will be the driving force behind our overall commercial strategy and be instrumental in shaping a rapidly scaling business. You’ll get to work directly with the co- founders to convince partners to join, evolve and optimise their relationship with us. We are offering a highly competitive package including a range of benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a pipeline of target brands to use Dressipi personalisation solutions
  • Proven ability to pursue and close new partnerships within a defined industry sector
  • Clearly communicate Dressipi’s benefits, functionality and features
  • Quickly grasp brands’ issues and objectives and tailor sales strategy to them accordingly
  • Negotiate deal terms, get partners to a “yes”
  • Evolve and refine partnership pricing, strategy, processes and tactics
  • Clearly communicate partner feedback and requirements to the senior management team
  • You will maintain an active awareness of market trends and communicate these internally
  • Goal oriented, self-motivated individual who is confident, thorough, and tenacious
  • Achieve 6 figure deals with a minimum of 6 partners in year one

The Ideal Candidate

  • At least 3 years of consultative sales experience (selling within the retail industry is a plus)
  • Have a proven track record of overachievement in a target driven sales environment
  • Can navigate complex organisational structures and identify key stake-holders
  • Comfortable learning new concepts and speaking about technology
  • Experienced in preparing proposals and delivering high-quality, tailored demonstrations
  • Engage proactively with prospective clients and build relationships on a consultative basis;
  • learning about prospects’ businesses, challenges and needs
  • Have already honed the confidence and gravitas to represent and effectively articulate Dressipi and its value proposition
  • SaaS sales experience would be an advantage
  • A background in data would be an advantage

The Role

  • We are looking for a Big Data Engineer to help run our latest algorithms at larger scale and on bigger datasets
  • Where You Can Make An Impact
  • We have recently experienced a steep increase in the amount of data and complexity of algorithms that we can use and need to take the next step in scaling up our data infrastructure. You will be at the heart of this exciting process, helping to set up our new big data technology stack from a clean slate and playing an important role in architecture decisions.
  • You will develop applications that that efficiently exploit our unique dataset, set up and maintain data processing pipelines and turn algorithms from formulas on paper into efficient distributed computation.
  • You'll be working on projects for some of the most successful high street retailers including Topshop, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, and the Shop Direct Group.

You Will Have

  • Strong experience working with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop in a commercial setting
  • Ability to write high quality Spark code
  • Excellent programming skills (in languages such as C, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Experience developing and running machine learning solutions on a large scale
  • The interest and tenacity to solve hard and diverse problems
  • The will and ability to pick up new technologies and approaches as required

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Amazon Redshift, recommender systems, graph databases, Ruby
