We are London based specialist investment and corporate finance advisory business focused on the media technology and digital transition industries. Founded in 2003, IBIS Capital now manages an independent global long/short hedge fund with over USD $500m, has invested USD $50m into early stage entrepreneurial businesses and successfully executed over 60 transactions for its clients across Europe and Asia.

M&A / Investment Banking Analyst

Key responsibilities:

  • Work directly with junior and senior members of the investment banking team participating throughout all stages of the M&A cycle including origination and execution responsibilities
    • Prepare presentation materials for use in client meetings, covering topics such as strategic reviews, marketing materials and industry overviews
    • Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables and transaction comparables
  • Develop and manage regular industry research reports focused on key decision makers in the Digital Transition sectors (Media, Education and Healthcare)
    • Develop deep sector knowledge in the Global Media, Education Technology & Healthcare Technology landscape
    • Prepare finished report materials for regular distribution to IBIS Capital’s C-level client base
    • Build and manage core industry databases for input across IBIS Capital
    • Develop and manage research partners that extend our audience reach
    • Explore and implement commercial business models
  • Active involvement in key tasks relating to key partnerships, events and media engagements

Requirements:

  • 18-24 full-time months experience (experience in reputable M&A/VC/Corporate Strategy/Consulting preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to think creatively and strategically and to communicate effectively to C-level executives and large groups
  • Natural entrepreneur and ability to excel independently
  • Analytical, detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong level of spoken and written English (second language preferable but not required)
